New Trends In Implant Dentistry Prof. Markus B. Hürzeler

  • CARE Dentistry 63a Archer Street Chatswood Australia (map)

Dr Markus B. Hurzeler comes to Sydney, Australia. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to attend his hands on course. There is also a lecture only option available.

Nowadays, there are many implant treatment concepts in the functional and aesthetic zone that have been described. On one hand, the treatment goals are very well known, but on the other the steps are needed to get there sometimes incredibly stressful for our patients. It seems sometimes that the perfect results can only be attained with several surgical procedures.

We need to ask ourselves if we would be willing to go through this treatment nightmare ourselves or if there might be alternatives which at the end allow us to achieve the same good results but we less effort. It may be that we need to develop new techniques and new ideas to fulfil these requirements. We need to question our treatment concepts.

Patient reported outcome measures should define more and more our clinical handling but without giving up the perfect treatment outcome. In this presentation, new, modern surgical approaches will be put to the acid test. We need to look critically at these new surgical trends. Do they allow us to achieve the same predictable aesthetic results with implants like the old, established concepts or do they end up with less perfect results?

Educational Objectives: - To understand the new trends in surgical approaches around implants - To recognize the limitations and the drawbacks of new techniques - To integrate newer biological understanding into the new surgical approaches to prevent failures.

Two cases: First case two central incisors beside each other (three pictures before and after the treatment) Second case molar replaced by an implant: the patient was only twice in the office for this treatment; this is the all-in-two concept
