The “Advanced Strategies on Immediate Implant Placement and Provisionalisation” at CARE Dental Academy is an intensive one day course of advanced implant concepts for those that wish to pursue more comprehensive knowledge in immediate implant placement and socket shield. The lectures are supplemented by a live surgical procedure and hands-on workshop using pig’s jaws and models for enhanced learning. The course is catered to those dentists wishing to expand their knowledge of implant therapy and undertake practical protocols that can be adopted in clinical practice to enable long term success and predictability.

Dr Christopher C.K. Ho

Biography

Dr Christopher Ho is a Specialist Prosthodontist who received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with First Class Honours at the University of Sydney. He completed postgraduate studies in the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in Oral Implants at the University of Sydney, and a Masters of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics with Distinction from the University of London. Furthermore, he completed a Doctor in Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from the University of Sydney and is a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is a Special Field Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Prosthodontics.

Dr Ho lectures extensively on aesthetic and implant dentistry both nationally and internationally. He is involved with the evaluation and development of new dental products and materials with several leading dental manufacturers. He was the Oral B spokesperson for Australia from 2012-2016. He contributes to the University of Sydney, having contributed to their undergraduate and postgraduate Oral Implant Diploma and Post-graduate Prosthodontic programs at the University of Sydney . He is a Faculty member of the Global Institute for Dental Education, Academy of Dental Excellence and is Visiting Lecturer at Kings College London, United Kingdom. He is author of numerous publications, as well as editor of the Wiley-Blackwell textbook “Practical Procedures in Aesthetic Dentistry”.
